Rho 160/160 Plus

The Rho 160/160 Plus is a high-performance flatbed inkjet printer for flexible, continuous large-format printing on both flexible and stiff media.

Areas of use:

	Photographic laboratories for the production of large-format advertising, point of sale, point of purchase, exhibitions, tradeshows, bus shelters, and many others.
	Screen printers for economical small series production, construction signs, signage, information and orientation boards, flags, banners, interior decorations, room dividers, sun protection shades, tents, writing on vehicles, and many others.
	Printers as a supplement or replacement of flexoprint for economical small series printing of packaging, posters, information stands.

The materials can be printed with the Rho 160/160 Plus:

	flexible (roll media): blue-back paper, papers, vinyl
	textiles (cotton, linen with or without backing material)
	rigid (boards): Diband, cardboards, plastic boards, plaster boards, wood, particleboard, glass, acrylic glass, stone and ceramic boards

Can be used for long-term indoor and outdoor applications without follow-up treatments. The UV-cure inks guarantee colour fidelity, good adhesion, and weather resistance.

Rho 160W Plus - The first large-format inkjet printer to print in white (CMYKW)

While 6- or 8-colour printers have been around for quite some time, white was unknown as a colour in the digital field until now. Durst has filled this gap with the Rho 160W Plus and opened up new fields of application.

Based on the Rho 160 Plus inkjet printer which has been tried and tested a hundred times, Rho 160W Plus is also fitted with 4 nozzle heads for white ink designed for Durst and a new ink supply system.

There are 4 print modes in which white can be selected
as a colour:

	as a background colour, eg on transparent and coloured media in order to achieve perfect 4-colour printing with strong colours;
	as a spot colour,eg in order to be able to print white motifs on transparent and non-white materials;
	as a "filler", in order to fill the intermediate spaces between the areas of colour on transparent, non-white media;
	as a background for spot colours (underspot) in order to highlight coloured logos on transparent media.

Rho 160W Plus offers the following benefits:

	Perfect colour reproduction with bright colours and increased density on transparent and coloured (non-white) media,
	White motifs, texts and logos can now also be printed digitally.
